I posted this Ok Go video last week on my blog, mentioning it’s one of the best music video’s I’ve seen lately. Little did I know that EMI would soon make it un-embeddable. I’m so impressed with the courage that OK Go has shown by ditching EMI for creative digital freedom - what a testament to the open web.

Throughout the night Oscar®-related searches rose and fell as nominations were introduced and winners announced. Avatar had the most searches before the ceremony, but as The Hurt Locker received more awards, searches for that film exceeded all others and peaked when it won Best Picture. Precious also had a good run throughout the night. Its peak matched that of “Avatar” during the ceremony: (via Official Google Blog)

So excited for the Oscars tonight. I’ve actually seen ALL of the best picture nominees (and that says a lot, since they upped the list to 10 this year), so I’m even more curious to see how it plays out.

I ordered the huevos rancheros for brunch at Norma’s, as was recommended to me by Miss Meghan Asha. Fabulous recommendation, I must say — I’m from Texas so I’m a critical judge on all non-Texas (and of course, non-Mexico) Mexican food, but this dish definitely passed the test.

I don’t watch a ton of music videos these days (thanks to MTV rarely playing them anymore), but this little gem from OK Go is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Maybe even since their infamous treadmill video, which is now up to nearly 50 million views on YouTube.

I’m definitely going to have to watch the “Making of the Video” for this one - must have been a physics geek’s dream.
