So excited for the Oscars tonight. I’ve actually seen ALL of the best picture nominees (and that says a lot, since they upped the list to 10 this year), so I’m even more curious to see how it plays out.

Here are my picks for the major categories (and here’s a great Google Docs template for you to cast your own votes):

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Picture: Avatar (I know everyone is calling The Hurt Locker for this one, but I think Avatar will pull through)

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Actor in a Leading Role: Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role: Sandra Bullock The Blind Side (Sandy is my girl. And she lives in Austin, so two extra points for that.)

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Mo’Nique Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Animated Feature Film: Up (duh.)

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Director: The Hurt Locker

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Documentary Feature: The Cove

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Makeup: Star Trek

OSCAR® Nominee for Best Music (Original Song): ”Almost There” The Princess and the Frog (This movie was adorable. Disney’s still got it.)
